He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Thompson and Doris Starr (Totten); his stepparents, Erma Thompson and Vernon Starr; his brother Dan Starr; and his former wife Marcia Thompson.
He is survived by: his children, Michelle Potter (Matt), Camille Beck (Glen), Ryan Thompson (Kristi) and Jeremy Thompson (Lauren Rahman); his grandchildren, Jason, Deb, Sam, Taylor, Alexis, Kamryn, Brynlee, Delaney and Carter; his great grandchildren, Ben, Nate and Rylee; and his siblings, Ron Thompson (Wanda), Chris Thompson, David Thompson (Elisabeth Kehoe-Thompson) and Tammy Starr-Evans. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
