Friends will be received 11am to 12pm Tuesday December 30, 2025 at Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home where services will follow at 12pm. Interment will be in Robinson Cemetery, Bloomingdale Twp. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Age 88 of Kalamazoo passed away Monday December 22, 2025 at home. Gene was born July 25, 1937 in Kalamazoo the son of Albert and Viola (Nash) Harvey. He graduated from Mattawan High School and worked as a bricklayer for Vandermay Construction. Gene enjoyed hunting, fishing the outdoors and family reunions. On June 8, 1957 in Kalamazoo Gene was united in marriage to Sharron (Brown) who survives. Also surviving three children, Chris Harvey, Duane (Roberta) Harvey, Mark (Marsha) Harvey; four grandchildren, Kristen (Joel) Ambs, Erika (Alex) Gilliland, Brandon Harvey, Jessica Harvey; six great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Love; several nieces & nephews.
