Helen J. Schulz Obituary

A memorial service will be held in the fall. Helen will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery, Manton, MI. Memorial Contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or Centrica Care Navigators, in c/o the funeral home.

Helen J. Schulz age 80 of Kalamazoo passed away Monday, June 8, 2026. Helen was born in Saalfelden, Austria on May 10, 1946, the daughter of Robert Livingston and Katharina (Eder) Hipes. On May 26, 1992, she married Fred Schulz who survives her. Helen was an avid golfer and bowler. He also played on a dart league. She and Fred loved to travel especially to visit lighthouses on the Great Lakes. Besides her husband, Helen is survived by her children, Sandra Goodacre, Debora Goodacre, John (Donna) Goodacre, Richard (Sherri) Goodacre, Chris Schulz; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and many friends including a special friend, Georgette Peterson. Helen was preceded in death by her parents; and an infant sister, Kathy Ann.
