Age 75, passed away at his home on Wednesday, September 17, 2025. He was born in Battle Creek, MI on November 18, 1949, the son of the late Harold and Ruby (Smith) Winters. Jack graduated from Battle Creek Central, Class of 1968, and would remain a lifelong resident who was always proud of his hometown. On May 27, 1983, he married the love of his life, Blanche (Bottom) Winters who preceded him in passing in 2021. Together they raised a family and were loving and involved grandparents and great-grandparents. Jack worked hard to provide and was an equipment operator at Franklin Iron and Metal. When not working he loved watching sports and was a loyal Yankees fan and supported the Vikings and Lions. He was an avid reader and enjoyed keeping up with current affairs. He loved having political conversations or debates and his quick wit and humor made him a joy to talk to. He held a soft spot in his heart for animals and was especially fond of his pet dogs. Above all Jack loved his family. He was a loyal husband, dependable father and involved grandfather who leaves behind the legacy of a life well lived. Jack is survived by two children, Bill (Aurora) Winters, Heather Ottinger; stepdaughter, Kristi Wilcox; nine grandchildren, Ashlee (Justin) Milcher, Alyssa (Josh) Ezinga, Jacob Hack, Cayley (Alex) Norrie, Olivia Winters, Brendan Berryman, Zac Ottinger, Austin (Anna) Ottinger, Jayson Ottinger; eleven great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was also preceded by a son-in-law, Jay Ottinger; brother, Donald Winters.
