James R. Strong Obituary

No public services are planned. The family is planning a private graveside service at Boughton Cemetery, where Jim will be laid to rest. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice, in c/o the funeral home.

Of Kalamazoo, passed away November 13, 2025, just hours after his 76th birthday. Jim was born in Kalamazoo, the son of Eldon and Grace Strong. His first wife Karen, passed away in 1997. He then married Marie Riemens who survives him. Jim was a long time employee of Georgia-Pacific and later worked at L.C. Howard as a forklift operator. Besides his wife, Jim is survived by his children, James Strong Jr., Eric Strong, Keri Strong; six grandchildren; one great-grandson; nieces and nephews; and many friends. Besides his first wife, Jim was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Ruby (Jim) Quake; brothers, Raymond Strong, Ralph Strong.
