Jami L. Stone Obituary

In accordance with her wish cremation has taken place and private family remembrances will be held. Memorial may be made to the Bronson Foundation, c/o the funeral home.

Jami Lyn Stone, age 49, passed away at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo on September 28, 2026. She was born in Niles, MI, on June 16, 1977, the daughter of James Bybee and Cathy Laverrenz. Jami was a kind and loving woman who was a joy to know. She had a wonderful sense of humor which could lighten the mood and put others at ease. She enjoyed writing and reading books and was a very crafty person. Above all Jami loved spending time with her family and was especially proud of her daughters and grandchildren. She leaves behind many wonderful memories to be cherished and will be missed by all those who loved her. She is survived by two daughters, Alyssia and Amber Stone; four grandchildren, Jesalyn Johnson, Stormie Shaw, Sebastian Stone and Emily Brandt; mother, Cathy Bybee; brother, Nickolas Bybee; aunts, Pamela Basore, Carla Mathis, uncle, Douglas Laverrenzl sister-in-law, Kendall Lanasa-Bybee; nieces, Josie and Isabella Bybee; many extended family and friends. She was preceded in passing by her father, James Bybee and her deeply loved dog, "Fang".
