As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Janet may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Thompson and Esther Thompson. She is survived by: her friend Janet; her husband Bill Urfer; her daughter Mary Harrington (Jeff); her grandchildren, Lauren and Carter; and her brother Dale Thompson.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Westwood United Methodist Church (538 Nichols Rd, Kalamazoo, MI 49006). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM and at 3:00 PM.
