It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jerome Van Tassel (Kalamazoo, Michigan), who passed away on December 4, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Elaine. He is survived by: his brother Jim; his wife Mary Van Tassel; his sons, Bill Van Tassel (Kimberly Korteway) and Tom Van Tassel (Shelly); his grandchildren, Kyle Van Tassel (Ashlee), Katrina Van Tassel, Andrew Van Tassel and Katie Zinger (Mike); and his great grandchildren, Zoe Zinger, Dempsey Zinger and Chester Van Tassel.

For ten years, he volunteered as a docent at the Gilmore Car Museum until COVID shut everything down; he was honored with the Volunteer of the Year award.
