John F. Wonser Obituary

We announce the death of John F. Wonser of Kalamazoo, Michigan, who passed away on July 2, 2026, at the age of 90. John will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Wonser and Edna Wonser (Baker); his sister Ruth Betty Renton; and his stepbrother John Beck. He is survived by: his wife Meg Wonser; his children, Elizabeth Betz (Walter), Sarah Madiol (David) and Jeffrey Wonser (Nancy); his grandchildren, Nathaniel Betz, Bourke Betz, Adrianna Betz, Grace Betz, Isaac Betz, Gwendolyn Betz, Brock Barron, Alexandria Wonser, Julianne Wonser and Parker Wonser; and his sister Gertrude Wonser. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to Community Presbyterian Church at the aforementioned address.
