He was predeceased by : his parents, Henry Mellema and Wilma Mellema (Bogert); and his wife Charlotte Goldstein. He is survived by : his children, Kenneth Jr. Mellema (Debbie) of Parchment, Debra Gomez of Mattawan, Kim Schouwburg (Bill) of Lawton, Pam Quigley (John) and Eric Mellema (Lisa) of Portage; his stepchildren, Lynn Wagner (Clint) of Kalamazoo, Jill Torvino (Leo) of Muskegon and Wendy Osgood (Michael) of Portage; and his siblings, Barbara Struik of Grand Rapids, Margie Bultema (Jerry) of Kalamazoo and Douglas Mellema (Sue) of Cadillac. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
