Kevin J. Cooley Obituary

In accordance with his with wish cremation will take place and private family remembrances will be held. Memorials in Kevin's memory may be given to Forgotten Souls Rescue and Rehab (for animals), c/o the funeral home.

Kevin James Cooley age 61, passed away at Corwell Health in St. Joe, Michigan on January 30, 2026. He was born in Kalamazoo on February 10, 1964. Raised in Vicksburg he graduated from high school where he made many friends. Kevin was kind, gentle and loving. He found great pride in working as a cook at West Main Pizza Hut where he was employed for more than thirty years. He was passionate about food and always enjoyed a great meal. His heart was open and kind to animals and he loved his loyal companion "Max" and his fish. He enjoyed watching game shows and television programs. Above all Kevin loved his family and he will be missed by all who knew him. He leaves to cherish his memory two siblings, Todd Cooley, Kim (Jeff) Smith; nieces, Alexis (Michael Pendell) Smith and Katie (Sara) Cosby who helped care for Kevin through the years; nephew, Dustin (Kelly) Finley who helped Kevin achieve a life goal of building his own home; many other nieces, nephews, step-siblings, co-workers and friends, all who Kevin loved. He preceded in passing by his father, Richard (Elenor) Cooley; mother, Beverly (Robert) Brcka; brother, Mark Richard Cooley.
