Larry E. Bridges Obituary

Cremation will take place, and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kalamazoo Humane Society, c/o the funeral home.

Age 78 of Kalamazoo passed away at Bronson Hospital with family at his side on October 16, 2025. Larry was born in Holcomb, MO, on February 10, 1947, the son of the late Marion and Mabel (Braddy) Bridges. After graduating from Berrien Springs High School, he was drafted into the U.S. Army and served our country during the Vietnam War. After being honorably discharged, Larry returned and made his home in Niles, MI, and later Ohio. He worked hard to provide for his family and was always proud of his two sons. When not working he enjoyed watching football and was a loyal Bears fan. In his later years, Larry enjoyed taking walks, being outdoors in nature and spending time with his "granddogs". Larry's smile and kindness will be missed by those who loved him. He is survived by two sons, Todd (Dana O'Dell) Bridges and Randy Bridges; six siblings, Dorothy Visel, Cathy Norris, Judy Ruetz, Nancy Bridges, Sharon Humphreys and Betty Potter; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was also preceded in passing by two sisters, Peggy Six and Becky Dobrzykowski.
