Lester Charles Brown Obituary

Graveside services will be held 10:30 am Monday July 7, 2025 at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Kalamazoo Seventh-day Adventist Church in c/o the funeral home.

Age 83 of Kalamazoo, passed away on Thursday June 12, 2025 at Medilodge of Westwood. Lester was born April 15, 1942 in Kalamazoo the son of Lester and Alvina (Braley) Brown. He was a Vietnam veteran serving in the U.S. Navy and retired from the human resources department at the V.A. Medical Center in Battle Creek. Lester was a member of the Kalamazoo Seventh-day Adventist Church and enjoyed crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, family game nights, collecting coins and stamps, traveling and spending time with his family. On September 28, 1969 in Kalamazoo Lester was united in marriage to Sharon (McClain) Brown who survives. Also surviving are four children, Darcy (Kerrell) Scott, Charles Eric Brown, Nicole Hermenitt, Travis (Jane) Brown; nine grandchildren; two great-grandsons; several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Douglas Brown.
