Linda M. Bond Obituary
The family wishes to thank the caretakers at Medilodge and staff from Community Mental Health who made Linda's final days as comfortable as possible. In accordance with her wish, a cremation has taken place and private family remembrances will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice, SAMHSA, or the charity of one's choice, c/o the funeral home.
Age 75, passed away at Medilodge of Lansing, on November 3, 2025. Linda was born on January 16, 1950, the daughter of the late Jacob and Gertrude (Young) Medonich. Linda was the mother to Benjamin Knowlton, who preceded her in death, and Jillian (Knowlton) Green who survives; grandmother to Elora (Austin) Vavra, Gavin Fults, and Emma Black. She is also survived by extended family and friends.
Linda was a social butterfly with a kind and welcoming smile. She delighted in singing, dancing, and playing bingo. She instilled the love of music in her children. Linda and her daughter enjoyed singing together while driving down country roads, visiting with friends, and at local open microphone nights. Linda was also an imaginative storyteller with a fervent zest for life.
Linda was well loved by many staff members at numerous nursing homes and care facilities. Cared for by many, Linda found ways to bring joy to others, and she will be missed. She was preceded in passing by her sister, Nyla Glover, brother, David Carr, and son, Benjamin Knowlton.
