It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lois Jean Schell (Kalamazoo, Michigan), born in Lansing, Michigan, who passed away on March 4, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, J. C. Newman and Anna Newman (Simmons); her husband Donald Schell; and her siblings, Chuck and Linda.

She is survived by : her children, Jon Crippen (Jan), Robert Crippen (Kristie), Jodi Weighmink and Marcia Preston (David); her grandchildren, Tanya Crippen, Lindsey Calton (Jay), Bobby Jourdan, Zachary Bradley, Ashlie Baddley (Brandon) and Andrew Crippen (Lyne Sherman); her great grandchildren, Cy, Ace Baisden, Bentley, Beckett, Adalynn Baddley, Freya Crippen and Ava Sherman; and her sisters, Shirley Lather, Sandra Pratt (Ed), Sharon Mohlman (Chuck) and Jacqueline Davis (Bill). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
