We announce the death of LouAnn Veld in Kalamazoo, Michigan, who passed away on August 25, 2026, at the age of 91. LouAnn will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett Monroe and Ruth Monroe (Finch); her husband John Veld; her brothers, Morris and Myrl Monroe; and her siblings-in-law, Dick Sexton and Betty Tomlinson.
She is survived by: her children, Anita Crawshaw (Robert "Bob"), Deb Cornett (Ron Crawford) and Randy Veld (Christine); her grandchildren, David Veld (Kathy), Kelsey Smith, Megan Scohera (David), Kyler Cornett (John Hart), Carley Switzer (Josh), Samantha Witters (Brent), Carrie Cornett (Christian Catalano) and Kevin Veld (Abbey Salcido); her siblings, Karen Sexton, Chris Niemi and Ron Monroe (Lynn); and her sister-in-law Judy Monroe. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
