Lucile J. Springsteen Obituary

Lucile Jeanette Springsteen age 88 of Kalamazoo passed away early Saturday morning, September 12, 2026. Lucile was born in Kalamazoo on June 19, 1938, the daughter of Ray S. and Marvel K. (Burt) Feely. For over thirty years she was a telephone operator with the Michigan Bell Telephone Company. Lucile was a fan of the Detroit Tigers and loved listening to the games. Her creativity came out in her baking and knitting skills. She enjoyed music and had very eclectic tastes, enjoying many genres. Lucile was a great storyteller. She liked to reminisce about her childhood and family. Lucile is survived by her children Bill (Berta) Springsteen, Cathe Murphy, Chris (Jenn Combes) Springsteen; grandchildren, Ken (Kari) Springsteen, Alana (Sean) Hilton, Holly Postert, Moira Springsteen, Fiona Springsteen; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. Lucile was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Marion Meyers.
