Mark S. Roche Obituary
A Celebration of Life for Mark Roche will be held on Sunday, August 3, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at The Kalamazoo Nature Center (Glen Vista Gallery), 7000 N. Westnedge Ave. Kalamazoo, MI 49009.
Mark Stephen Roche died unexpectedly at the age of 48. He was born on January 17, 1977, in Kalamazoo, the son of Steve and Lori (Monsma) Roche. Mark graduated from Kalamazoo Christian Schools and Michigan State University. Mark worked for many years creating and managing security systems for schools and businesses.
Mark loved music and attending concerts. He was appreciated for his easy-going personality, quirky sense of humor, and his love of 80's movies and ability to quote from them. Mark enjoyed the outdoors, including kayaking, snowboarding, camping, and backpacking. Mark and his brother David took many backpacking trips together throughout the United States, including the Olympic Coast, Isle Royale, and Kentucky.
Mark is survived by his Mother, Lori (John) Clement, his brother David (Haluka) Roche and his niece Hazel/Sophia Roche.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Community Healing Centers of Kalamazoo to help others who are struggling with the disease of alcoholism.
