As Melissa departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Melissa. Though Melissa may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She is survived by: her husband Jeff; her sons, Nick, Ben of Matt, CJ and Gabe; her grandson Vincent; her mother Mona Pyret; and her in-laws, Mike and Joanne James.
A celebration of life was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Betzler Life Story Funeral Homes (6080 Stadium Dr, Kalamazoo, MI 49009). A rosary was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Margaret's Catholic Church (766 S. Farmer St., Otsego, MI 49078).
