He was predeceased by : his sister Linda Matthews. He is survived by : his children, Adam Diebold (Elisabeth) and Sydney Diebold; his grandson Peter; his former life partner Michelle Diebold; his girlfriend Tonya Diamond; his siblings, Deborah Lightner (Mark), David Diebold and Kirk Diebold; and his brother-in-law Dennis Matthews. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
