He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles DeVries and Jennie DeVries (Klop). He is survived by: his wife Linda Van't Zelfde; his children, Kirstina DeVries (Glen Clark), Karen Rozeboom (Brett Thomas) and Erik DeVries; his grandchildren, Rachael Brown (Chase), Ryan Rozeboom (Cerria), Justin Rozeboom, Jason Rozeboom and Zachary Cummins; his great grandchildren, Aleigha, Levi and Isaiah Brown; and his siblings, Richard DeVries (Linda) and Mary Ellen DeLoof (Dave). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM at the Netherlands Reformed Congregation (108 Pratt Rd, Kalamazoo, MI 49001). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 10:45 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Mt. Ever Rest Memorial Park (3941 S Westnedge Ave, Kalamazoo, MI 49008).
