He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Houtman; his son-in-law Alan Karkosh; his sister Carol Loher; his brother-in-law Jim Loher; his brothers, Jack Houtman and Dave Houtman; and his parents, Harold Houtman and Henrietta Houtman.
He is survived by: his children, Lynda Gravier (Bill Troutman), Carmen Berens (Steve), Sarah Karkosh and Bryan Houtman (Heather); his grandchildren, Anna Gravier Symmes (Matthew), Kevin Gravier, Molly Gravier, Amanda Teske, Morgan Teske, Tyler Berens, Kyle Karkosh, Shane Karkosh (Maddie), Alison Callahan (Daniel), Kennedy Hill (Jeremy) and Ryan Houtman; and his sisters-in-law, Diane Houtman, Kathy Houtman and Julie Meiste. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
