He is survived by: his wife Evie Vroegop; his children, Steve Vroegop (Sandy), Kim VanderPloeg (Mike), Todd Vroegop (Janet) and Dawn Vroegop; his grandchildren, Ben Vroegop (Evin Wallus), Luke Vroegop, Josh Vroegop, John VanderPloeg (Jessica Rinaldi), Mitch Vroegop (Averi), Allie Vroegop, Tessa Lewis (Steve), Kelsey McHenry (Jim), Caleb Vroegop (Alison), Naomi Zylstra (Nate), Jackson Thiara, Isabelle Thiara and Madeline Thiara; his great grandchildren, Pieter VanderPloeg, Georgia VanderPloeg, Charlie Vroegop, Jack Vroegop, Emerson McHenry, Joanna Vroegop, Adelyn Vroegop and Lettie Vroegop; and his siblings, William Vroegop, Frank Vroegop (Marian), Adrian Vroegop (Sue) and Alice DeJong (Marty).
