Richard Blincoe Jr. Obituary
A service in witness to Dick's life and faith will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at CenterPoint Church, 2345 N. 10th St., Kalamazoo. (Please use South entrance.) Friends may call on the family prior to the service, beginning at 12:30 p.m. Dick will be laid to rest at Central Portage Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Kalamazoo AMBUCs or CenterPoint Church Seniors, in c/o the funeral home.
Age 90 of Kalamazoo passed away on Friday evening May 25, 2025. Dick was born in Dayton, OH, the son of Richard Aloysius and Rose (Joyce) Blincoe, Sr. On December 1, 1978, he married Joan Smith who survives him. Dick was a graduate of the University of Dayton and began his career as an engineer at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. He worked for many years as an engineer in the aerospace industry including for a time in Korea. He was an active member of the Kalamazoo AMBUCS, having served as President for a time. Besides his wife, Dick is survived by his children, Rick (Vonda) Blincoe, Kathleen (Tim) Grinwis, Tom Blincoe, David Blincoe, and Greg (Mikki) Blincoe, Ramah Ufkes, Phil (Rebecca) Ufkes; son-in-law, Allan Karnas; twenty-three grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister, Sarah Grentz; nieces and nephews; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughters, Karen (Blincoe) Metzelaars, Cheryl Richardson, Susan Karnas; grandsons, Joseph Metzelaars, Freddie Metzelaars and Louis Karnas.
