He is survived by: his friend Bob; his wife Shirley Materi; his son Steve Materi; his grandchildren, Austin Nadwornik, Lyndsey Caton, Paige Materi and Daisy Materi; and his sister Nell Chin (David). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
