Robert S. Banks Obituary
A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. noon at Mt. Ever Rest Memorial Park, 3941 S. Westnedge St., Kalamazoo. No public visitation is scheduled. Memorial contributions may be made to West Michigan Cancer Center, in c/o the funeral home.
Age 70, passed away Monday morning, September 2, 2024. Bob was born in Kalamazoo on May 11, 1954, the son of William and Linda Ruth (Carlton) Baker. On May 18, 1974, he married Cheryl Harrison Banks who survives him. He worked for 31 years as a Micronizer at the Pfizer Company. In his spare time he enjoyed camping, fishing and being on the Big Lake. He also enjoyed scouting with his son and grandson. He kept great care of his lawn on his lawnmower. He also liked going to the casinos. Nothing was more important to him than his family. Besides his wife, Bob is survived by his children, Tina (William Decker) Banks and Robert (Jessica) Banks, Jr., grandchildren, Gabriel Garland, Kiera Banks, and Blake Banks; sister, Susan Baker; and many friends including his grand-dog Lilly who he spoiled very much. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard Baker.
