He was predeceased by: his parents, Caryl Hazel Nickert and Herman J Nickert. He is survived by: his siblings, Van Nickert (Lana) of Kalamazoo and Cheri Johnson of Seattle, Washington; his half-sister Shirley Behrman of Gabbs; and his nieces and nephews, Ally Nickert of Cleveland, Haley Nickert of Kalamazoo, Jimmy, Ronny, Kim, Mark and Jody of Nevada. He is also survived by his family and friends.
The family prefers contributions in memory of Rommel may be made to National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke and encourages loved ones to listen to a Queen song, or all of them, in his honor.
