He was predeceased by : his parents, Ronald Irving and Celia Hicks (Sager); and his brother Thomas Hicks. He is survived by : his wife Jeanne Michalka; his children, Kaitie O'Connor (Chris) of Farmington, CT and Alex Hicks of Kalamazoo; his grandson Oliver O'Connor; his siblings, Sharon Hicks, Steve Hicks (Nancy), Carol Hicks, Deborah Pellow (Jack) and Patricia Rankinen (Todd); his father-in-law Ralph Michalka; and his brother-in-law Jim Michalka. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and countless friends.
