Ronald J. Gray Obituary
Ronald Gray age 88 of Kalamazoo passed away Thursday evening, August 20, 2026. Ron was born in Lansing, MI, on June 5, 1938, the son of William J. and Bonita A. (Cole) Beard. On April 13, 1993, he married Darlene Gaylor Lansdale who survives him. Ron was raised in Muskegon, where he attended and graduated from Muskegon Public Schools. For 34 years he was employed by James River Corporation where he worked as a machine tender. He had also spent time working at Gray Mobile Homes. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing, fishing and sailing. Besides his wife, Ron is survived by his daughter, Bonita (Steve) Cavadas; step-children Richard S. Lansdale and Michael B. (Sara Frimand) Lansdale; grandchildren, Seth Lansdale, Elena Cavadas and Sydney Cavadas; step-brothers, Chuck (Sara) Gray and William "Duke" (Kathy) Gray; sisters in law, Rosemary (Brian) McMullen and Jackie (Jim) Lioy; several nieces and nephews and many friends. Ron was preceded in death by his parents; his step-father Burdette L. Gray; sons, Scott James Gray and Robert James Gray; his former spouse, Martha A. Karppinen.
