Age 93 of Kalamazoo, passed away Thursday afternoon, February 6, 2025. Ruth was born in Pine Grove, MI, on April 2, 1931, the daughter of Martin and Mildred (Gilbert) Holdeman. On February 7, 1948, she married Michael Linihan, who preceded her in death on April 18, 1989. Ruth was a long-time member of Eagles Aerie #526 and was past President. She was an avid reader, especially of romance novels. In her younger days she enjoyed bowling and ceramics. Ruth is survived by her children, David (Rebecca) Linihan of Florida, Michaelyn (Ken) Jonatzke of Portage, Michael Linihan of Mattawan and Carol (Larry) Born of Pine Lake; grandchildren, Matt (Stacey) Linihan, Rob (Shelli) Linihan, Brian (Tonya) McGehee, Lisa McGeHee, Gary (Constance) Linihan, Sara Linihan, Victoria Linihan, Shauna (Shawn) Standish; eighteen great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Larry Linihan and his daughters, Holly Linihan Dakota and Kasey (John) Palmer; and many, many friends. Besides her husband, Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; daughter in law, Christine Linihan; grandson, Justin David Linihan; great-granddaughters, Whitney Ann Linihan and Kaylee Jonatzke; brother, Verne Holdeman; sister, Mary Lou Voss.
