He was predeceased by: his mother Mildred Mitchell (Burch); his daughter Terra; and his sisters, Francis and Donna Bowen. He is survived by: his father Anzeweary Mitchell; his wife Joyce; his children, Cara Cook, Nicole Mackinder (Kevin), Steven Hawkins (Pat Narkun) and Angie Wurtzel (Steve); and his grandchildren, Michael Askew, Ava Cook, Gavin Mackinder, Mikenna Mackinder, Alexander, Maximus, Mackenzie and Madison Wurtzel.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Betzler Life Story Funeral Homes (6080 Stadium Dr, Kalamazoo, MI 49009). A reception will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
