Thomas Hawkes Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Hawkes of Kalamazoo, Michigan, who passed away on June 13, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hawkes and Edna Hawkes; and his brothers, James Hawkes (Jim) and Edwin Mihalik (Kim). He is survived by: his wife Charlene; his daughters, Erin Banchoff (Keith) of Byron Center, Sarah Hawkes (Jesse) of Kalamazoo and Kristina Smith (Peter) of Arizona; his grandchildren, Micah, Aidan, Jacob, Aubrey, Noah and Madison; his stepgrandchildren, Jenna, Robert and Zach; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Isaiah, Jordyn, Corbin and Gavin; his siblings, Mike Hawkes (Linda) of Colorado and Twila Calder (Phil) of Utah; Melissa Ball (Tim) of Texas.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the South Haven High School Athletic Boosters, with a designation for the baseball team, to honor the role sports played in Tom's formative years.
