William H. Beeke Obituary

William Henry Beeke, age 86, passed away on June 8, 2026, at his home surrounded by a loving family. He was born in Kalamazoo on October 8, 1939, the son of Bastian and Johanna (Gruizenga) Beeke. William was kind and loving and his strong faith in the Lord served as the foundation of his life. On June 30, 1961, he married the love of his life Beverly. They made their home in Kalamazoo and raised four children. William worked hard to provide for his family. When not working he enjoyed painting and drawing, working in the garden. He loved being outdoors and took the family camping whenever possible. Days spent at Lake Michigan and summer sunsets were also fond memories. Above all, William loved his family and was especially proud of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. William will be remembered and missed by all who loved him and he leaves behind the legacy of a life well lived. He is survived by his children, Bonnie (Richard) Massey, William "Bill", Jr. (Lou) Beeke, Barry (Becky) Beeke and Becky (David) Wuis; 11 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Von) Beeke; brother-in-law, Al Doorlag; sister-in-law, Carol VanDyken; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was preceded in passing by his wife Beverly Beeke; parents and siblings.
