Zachary John Paul Happel age 27 of Kalamazoo, passed away Wednesday June 10, 2026, at Plainwell Pines Nursing Home. Zachary was born February 21, 1999, in Kalamazoo, the son of Richard and Joanie (Starbuck) Happel. He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Parish in Gobles and received his certificate of completion from Zeeland High School and enjoyed YouTube video's and playing his PlayStation 5. Surviving are his mother, Joanie (Patrick) Perkins; father, Richard (Shannon) Happel; half-sister, Leanne (Kevin) Sinkler; brother, Dylan (Jessica Burt) Happel; sister, Emily (Zachary Redway) Happel; nieces & nephews, Kevin, Jr., Aleiyah Benjamin, Madisyn and Kai; many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Richard Happel; maternal grandparents, Harold and Rita Starbuck; aunts, Sue Mossing; Maternal, Melissa Starbuck; Uncle, Denny Starbuck.
