He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Hartmann and Mary Hartmann; his siblings, Bernard Hartmann (Jan), David Hartmann, Carl Hartmann and Martha Feger; his siblings' children, Glen Hartmann and Krista Hartmann; and his sister-in-law Patricia Hartmann.

He is survived by: his brothers, James Hartmann and Norbert Hartmann (Pam); his brother-in-law Rick Feger; and his siblings' children, Lyle, Lisa, Jenny, Jill, Matt, Eddie, Tina, Steven, Billy and Troy.
