The beloved husband of April Ash (nee Johnston) for 49 years; loving father of the late infant Christopher Reese Ash, Spencer John (Stacey) Ash and Taylor Patrick Ash; treasured PaPa of Charley, Tristan, Hudson, Calvin and Lennox "Leni"; dear brother of Dan (Vicki) Ash, Donna (the late Rob) Hamley and was preceded by his sisters, Liz Johnson, Barbara Dufrenne and Kate Obrecht; dear brother-in-law of Denny Dufrenne, Charles (the late Jodi) Johnston, Carl (Reeca) Brooks, Jim (the late Janet) Ackenhausen and the late Don Johnson and Glenn Obrecht; cherished son of the late Sylvester and Clarice Ash (nee Rash).

Christopher was a past member of the Loyal Order of Squirrels and was one of the founding members and coach of the Mid Rivers Soccer Club. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. In his spare time he loved to fish and create art, whether it was welding a trinket, whittling something from wood or art in other mediums.

A memorial service will be on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Hutchens-Stygar Funeral & Cremation Center, 5987 Mid Rivers Mall Dr., St. Charles 63304. There will be no visitation prior to the service. Memorial contributions have been suggested to the ALS Association.
