He was predeceased by: his parents, Ann Johnson-Dukes and Rev. Edmond Dukes; his stepmother Willie G. Thomas-Dukes; his siblings, Louis Dukes, Marie Dukes Franklin-Brown and Alice Parker; and his daughters, Patricia Ann Dukes and Marilyn Rose Dismuke.

He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Mae Johnson-Dukes of Florissant, MO; his children, Earnest Dukes (JoAnn) of Little Rock, AR, Edmond Dukes (Sophia) of Kansas, Joyce Marie White of St. Louis, MO, Valerie Keener (Tommie), Alana Lewis (Paul) of Florissant, MO and Yvette Holt (David) of Florissant, MO; and his sister J. Farrish of San Jose, CA. He is also survived by grand-children, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, other relatives, close friends.
