He was predeceased by: his father James Leo Davis; his siblings, Benny, Ray, Bonnie Fay, Lillie Mae Rayburn, Laverne, Bobby James, Billy Gene, James Duaine and Lester Darrell; and his daughter Denise Davis.
He is survived by: his close friend Gail O'Neal; his sons, Ricky L. Davis (Tricia) and David L. Davis (Melissa); his siblings, Easter Carol King, Jerry Dan Davis and Shery Ann Mason; his grandchildren, Meagan Davis, Nicholas Davis (Jennifer), Ruby Davis, John Davis, Zak Davis (Kristina) and Lacey Graves; and his great grandchildren, Zyana and Zoey. He is also survived by nieces and nephews from his 11 sisters and brothers.
