He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond L. Hemker and Ruth J. Hemker; and his sister Frances "Frannie" Ruoff. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Hemker; his children, Matthew Hemker (Sara) and Elizabeth Schmidt (Matt); his grandchildren, Matison Jelley (Matthew), Blade, Lance, Mace, Arrow Hemker, Carter, Claire, Caleb and Charlie Schmidt; his great grandchildren, Thomas and Rachel Jelley; his siblings, Larry Hemker (Carol), Mary Beth Sadlo (late Ed), Ruth "Sug" Jones (John), Paul Hemker (late Ann) and Kurt Hemker; and his sibling-in-law Wally Ruoff.
