He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy E. Uelk and Georgia F. Powers; his brother Mark C. Uelk; and his grandparents, Heinrich "Henry" Christopher Uelk, Olivia "Olive" Theresa Uelk, Alvin Miller Jones and Lera Marie Jones.

He is survived by: his significant other Janel DeVoogt Uelk; his daughters, Stephanie E. Clawson (Rhett) and Livia T. Konkel (Jeff); and his grandchildren, Izzi Clawson, Presley Konkel, Rhett Clawson Jr., Grant Konkel and Sawyer Clawson.
