We announce the death of Loyal David Stern (Florissant, Missouri), who passed away on September 22, 2026, at the age of 85. Loyal will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Loyal Stern and Dorothy Stern; and his siblings, Allen Stern (Ruth) and Valerie Frederick (Kenny). He is survived by: his wife Rose Louise Stern; his daughters, Karen Fairfax (Charles) and Carol Wood (Mark Stalcup); his grandchildren, Jacob Bell (Maran Wolston), Anthony Bellsmith (Kellyn), Jared Wood (Shelby), Hannah Rose Barklage (Trent) and Matthew Wood (Karissa); his great grandchildren, Carolyn Barklage, Georgianna Barklage, Brighem Wood, Faylee Rose Wood and Eleanor Rose Bellsmith; and his siblings, Roy Stern (Denise), Darlene DeVoto (late Butch) and Cleo Stern.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the Wounded Warrior Project.
