We announce the death of Eric Djuan Evans (Gulfport, Mississippi), who passed away on November 2, 2026, at the age of 54. Eric will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Harvey Lee Evans and Ruth Bolden-Evans; his aunt Debrah Evans-Purnell; and his great-aunt Leola Evans. He is survived by: his mother Retha L. Henderson; his brother Cottrell Evans; his children, Jasmine Cousan (Albert), Chasity Cousan, Kierra Gaines, Eric Evans Jr. and Djuan Evans; his grandchildren, Paris, Alysa, Ozborne, Cameron, Katiya and Karmyn; his siblings, Stanley Williams, La'Keesha Hunter (Jothan), Shemeka Evans-Moye (Minson), Lynette Batiste and Denise Robertson (Gabe); and his great-uncle Alfred Evans Jr.. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lockett-Williams Mortuary, Inc. (2018 31st Ave, Gulfport, MS 39501). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 10th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, November 10th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Shadeville Cemetery.
