He was predeceased by: his parents, Jimmie Lee Sharpe, Sr. and Mary Sue Campbell Sharpe; his sisters, Jacqualynne Maria Daniels Skinner and Kim Y. Whigham-Wells; and his granddaughter Khirstin Lott.
He is survived by: his friend Stanley Rip Daniels; his wife Victoria Thornton Sharpe; his daughters, Tahirih Quivada Daniels of Baton Rouge, LA, Tomeka Shante'Sharpe of Gulfport, MS and Tashonda Monique Sharpe of Ocean Springs, MS; his grandchildren, Tiarrah Quashon Myrick of Biloxi, MS, Taylor Victoria Williams (Amare), Thijs Felik Levhon Lee of Baton Rouge, LA and Jules Lee Sharpe-Austin of Ocean Springs, MS; his great grandchildren, Shiloh Emma Jewel Dorsey, Shaefer Grace Nelson, Shavi Rose Nelson and Aja Jhene'Haskin; his siblings, Eddie Campbell Sharpe, Joseph Durant Sharpe, Mary Frances Blaylock of Gulfport, MS, Gwendolyn Joyce Watson of Gulfport, MS, Doddye Marlene Sharpe of Gulfport, MS and Terri Sue Sharpe of Gulfport, MS; his mother-in-law Katie "Mu" Thornton; and his siblings-in-law, Ola Wilson, Linda Thornton, Janice Thornton and Melvin Thornton of Gulfport, MS.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Morning Star Bapitst Church (2050 Thornton Ave, Gulfport, MS 39501). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:15 AM at the Biloxi National Cemetery (400 Veterans Ave, Biloxi, MS 39530).
