It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lonnie Lee Howard of Gulfport, Mississippi, who passed away on July 10, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Lonnie farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Lonnie is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He is survived by: his wife H. Louise Howard; his siblings, Helene Holloway, Elaine Holloway, Lois Caffey, Cecilia Holloway and Christopher Holloway; and his siblings-in-law, Nancy Johnson, Angelica Stewart and E. Allen Steward. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Lockett-Williams Mortuary, Inc. (2018 31st Ave, Gulfport, MS 39501).
