He was predeceased by: his parents, John Buckley and Cora G. Buckley; his siblings, Ruby, Ina Bell, Lillian and Tilmon of Wilmon, JC; and his former wife Carol Alexander.
He is survived by: his wife Laura Pearl Buckley; his children, Daphne Buckley Olinyk (Tom), Stephania Johnson Mechanic (John), Ronald Buckley (Judy), Donald Buckley (Andrea), Roderick Buckley, Shelver Franklin and Vernon Vereen (JoAnn); his grandchildren, Allison, Stephanie, Shankita (Jarrod), Christopher, Terronald, Jordan, Shelton, Taylor, Ashley, Courtney (Sam), Tatjana and Kendall; his great grandchildren, Tekayla, Tianna and Tiarra; his great great grandchildren, Amir, LJ and Carris; his sisters, Ireen, Alene and Jewel; and his friend Reverend Carl (Renetta) of Washington. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
