It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charlene Cates (Hernando, Mississippi), born in Memphis, Tennessee, who passed away on May 17, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Earnest Pickle and Anne Mae Gilbert Pickle; her husband Marvin Cates; and her siblings, Bo Pickle (Harriet), Freddy Pickle (Eden), Joanne Geiger (Jack), Norma Jean Shanklin (James) and Jane Pickle.
She is survived by: her siblings, Bob Pickle (Sherry) and Peggy Burgess (Don); her children, Linda James (Will), Cindy Wood, Patty Hellum (Paul) and Bo Cates (Kristie); and her grandchildren, Leanne Dozier, Wes Wood (Sara), Tommy James (Haley), Brad Ghosheh, Drew Wood, Alan Cross, Colbey Cates, Madisyn Cates and Brock Cates. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
