Brentwood Funeral Services was founded in 2004 by owner Brent Taylor, who envisioned a collection of premier funeral homes offering the highest possible level of service to you and your family. Each Brentwood Funeral Chapel creates a uniquely personal funeral experience with first class amenities and the latest equipment, all in beautiful surroundings.

Although the Brentwood collection is only a few years old, the funeral homes themselves date back as far as 1913. The Taylor family continues a tradition; a heritage of family-owned funeral homes. Brent Taylor has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer for over 20 years. He grew up in Batesville, Mississippi, where he first gained experience in the business while working for Wells Funeral Home, then in Memphis at Memphis Funeral Home.

He earned his degree in Mortuary Science from Northwest Mississippi Community College in 1988. His service to the community has always extended beyond the family business, and in 1995, Taylor was elected to the Memphis City Council, where he was chosen to serve as Council Chairman in 2003. In 2011, he was elected to the Shelby County Board of Commissioners.
