She was predeceased by: her parents, Virginia Crouch O'Kelley Bratton and Bobby Leland O; her sister Caryl Jo O'Kelley Brown; her great-grandparents, Alfred, Bessie O'Kelley, Marshall and Lillie Belle Crouch; and her father-in-law Jerry "Hoot" Gowen, Sr..
She is survived by: her spouse Jerry H. Gowen, Jr.; her daughter Ashley Gowen Reed (Chris); her grandchildren, Sara Brooke Dever, John Robert Reed and Blakley Gowen Reed; her mother-in-law Jane Wilbanks Gowen; her aunt Barbara Crouch Carter (Wayne); her niece Bridgette Rankin Justice (James); and her great-nieces, Kylie Carver and Jeree Justice.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a memorial contribution in Cheryl's name to Hernando United Methodist Church or the Hernando Animal Shelter.
