He was predeceased by : his parents, Worth Eddith and Georgia Alma Gordon Toney. He is survived by : his children, Darrell Toney (Kim), Steve Toney (Tina), Gary Toney (Michelle), Elizabeth Ann Orbison (Danny) and Shelley Davis. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, PO Box 336, Forest City, or Big Springs Baptist Church, 534 Big Springs Church Road, Ellenboro, NC 28040.
