We are sad to announce that on January 9, 2026 we had to say goodbye to Barbara Ann Higgins of Forest City, North Carolina. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Barbara is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Barbara's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hammond Philbeck and Hazel Philbeck; her husband Harlen Higgins; and her sister Lucille Fincannon. She is survived by: her son John Higgins (Stephanie); and her grandson John Cole Higgins (Maddie). She is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 17th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Spindale United Methodist Church (381 Mill St, Spindale, NC 28160). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 17th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to Spindale United Methodist Church.
